Robinson island

FULL DAY

‎Departing Watamu at 8:30 am, we arrive in Gede, where we'll visit the ruins of the Arab city and spend time with their inhabitants, the vervet monkeys. The tour lasts about 40 minutes and is accompanied by a licensed local guide. We then depart and arrive in Malindi, where we'll tour the city and stop at the wood factory, where most of the objects are crafted. We continue towards Robinson Island, stopping briefly at the golden sand, a unique spot where the sand is, indeed, the color of gold. The island is reached by traditional Kenyan canoe, carved from wood. Lunch will be served on the island with your feet in the sand, and will include crab, seafood, fish, shrimp, coconut rice with octopus sauce, and fruit. Drinks are not included and can be ordered separately according to your preferences. You'll relax until 3:30 PM, when we'll set off for our final stop, Marafa-Hell's Kitchen, or Devil's Kitchen. You'll take a tour of the gorges with a guide who'll explain all about this place, and you'll return in time for a unique spectacle: the sunset. We'll return to Watamu around 7:30 PM.
